Our Mission

Maitland Academy is dedicated to providing an education rich in sensory integration to nurture a child’s whole body/whole mind development. 

In the beginning, a small thought became a big dream.  We came together as parents, educators and therapists to develop appropriate education and therapy for the advancement of children with typical needs, sensory integrative dysfunction, autism spectrum disorders and related disabilities, and children with hearing impairment who utilize hearing aids or cochlear implants.

Our pioneering plan for whole body/whole mind development embraces all children.  It is founded in sensory integrative theory and is enhanced with time-tested approaches to maximize a child’s ability to cope with and follow through on age appropriate daily tasks, master new skills, prepare for the demands of school and life long learning.
